Woodland Animal Sets
These forest themed woodland animal figurine sets offer a balance between form and function. Designed with durability in mind, these little woodland animals can serve as decor for a shelf, or toys for a young child to play with. Last holiday, I made a set for my 3 year old niece, and while there have been a couple of chipped ears, the set has stood up to play, including being tossed from the 2nd floor banister down to the first floor by her younger sister!). Age recommendation if intended to be toys is 4 and up.
Each piece is shaped and sculpted out of solid clay (as opposed to multiple pieces attached together), giving it a stronger design and decreasing the likelihood of breakages. The pieces are hand painted with colored slips, fired, and then fired again with a clear transparent glaze.
There is a full set offered (one of each animal, trees, stumps, and mushrooms), as well as smaller sets of animals and trees.
