Ceramic Mushroom Ja

$25.00
sold out
This ceramic mushroom jar is both attractive and discounted! Due to two small glazing errors on the outside this piece's price has been knocked down. It is still, however, a lovely and functional jar that can contain all sorts of small items.

Made from white midfire stoneware, these pieces were thrown, hand carved, and decorated with colored slip. They were fired, glazed with a transparent, food safe glaze, and then fired for a second time.

The ceramics in this set are inspired by mushrooms, and the forests they inhabit. While the main focus of the set was on sculpture, this collection also explored a more minimal application of colored slips, while experimenting with brushstrokes and texture.
